Most people never fall short of their potential because they lacked talent.

They fall short because they kept waiting for someone to unlock it for them.

The right boss.

The right break.

The right timing.

I’ve watched people spend years blaming their circumstances while doing nothing to change them.

Same habits.

Same excuses.

Same results.

We love pretending our future is stuck in someone else’s hands. It makes disappointment easier to explain. But that belief is what keeps people average.

Not a lack of opportunity. A lack of ownership.

Yes, luck matters. Yes, timing matters.

 But neither matters more than the choices you make when nobody is forcing you to make them.

What you read.

What you practice.

What you tolerate.

What you repeat.

That’s what builds a life. Not potential. Not promises.

Not wanting more badly enough to talk about it.

Potential means nothing if you keep outsourcing responsibility for your future.
